Melting glass is known from the time about 400 BC.
Today we use modern materials for the production of moulds. We can create unique patterns in the area
of the so-called melt and sculptured glass. The forms are created in sculptural way, or we use manual pattern milling
for flat melts. Melting and subsequent cooling is very time-consuming and may take several weeks depending on how
massive the plastic mould is.
Removal from the mould is followed by mechanical cleaning of the glass from the residues and then the
glass is worked by grinding, polishing and/or sandblasting.
